We spring forward and open our windows inviting the fresh air, tropical breezes, the sounds of waves, and of boats running along Lemon Bay’s ICW. The daylight lasts longer and the sun shines brighter; there is a sense of vibrancy in the air all around us! Our plants begin to bud and flowers begin to bloom!
It is no coincidence that the first day of spring is also the International Day of Happiness. It is also a healthy season to enjoy an active lifestyle outdoors. Many residents have begun to test the gulf and bay waters with their SUP boards, Kayaking is big and neighbors see neighbors while taking longer walks, playing tennis, or golfing. It is a refreshing time of year that lifts our attitudes before summer brings a spike in temperatures and our spring showers will roll into the summer storms.
In April we say farewell to many of our Key neighbors and friends who head back to their northern homes till next fall or winter. We wish them safe travels and find ourselves already looking forward to their return!
